Students who have rooms are considered lucky to live in the residence halls at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff this year.
Operations are running at capacity, with 238 students living in the dorms, said interim Dean of Students Jim Schmucker, who took his position in July. Students who live in the residence halls, he said, are better able to enjoy the college experience than if they lived off campus. Currently, Pioneer Hall is at 113 percent and Conestoga Hall is at 99 percent capacity, still within the bound of the law.
