A Scottsbluff man has filed notice that he intends to sue four political entities and a local drug task force, including the state of Nebraska, after his vehicle was seized during a drug bust and later damaged by hail.

Andrew Vanderveen, 22, was sentenced in November to three years probation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony. Vanderveen and his girlfriend, 20-year-old Sarah Trook, were convicted of receiving delivery of LSD and other drugs through the U.S. Postal Service.
