Two Missouri men remained jail Friday after being arrested on drug charges Wednesday on Interstate 76 through Deuel County.
Louis C. Smith Jr., 33, and Herman Chairse, 33, were arraigned Friday in Deuel County Court on charges of delivery/intent to deliver a controlled substance, a Class III felony; possession of more than one pound of marijuana, a Class IV felony; and no drug tax stamp, a Class IV felony. Jonathan Stellar, deputy county attorney for Deuel County, said bond for both men was set at ten percent of $100,000 and they have been scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 7.
