COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado Springs man has been ordered to stand trial in a shooting that killed two people and wounded two.
Twenty-one-year-old Alonzo Paige faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder in the Jan. 24 shootings outside an apartment complex.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (http://tinyurl.com/cpxn7kv ) that a judge ruled Wednesday the case should go to trial.
Paige pleaded not guilty. He is being held without bail. His trial is scheduled for Oct. 30.
Twenty-year-old Marquise Bean and 21-year-old Andrew Encalade were fatally shot. Twenty-one-year-old Jareem Vanterpool and 26-year-old Adam Encalade were seriously injured.
Andrew and Adam Encalade were brothers.
