Colombian coffee growing seminar offered Friday

Carlos Urrea, dry bean breeding specialist for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present a seminar in Scottsbluff on Friday, Oct. 5, about research activities at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture at Palmira, Colombia, and the Colombian coffee bean industry.

Urrea visited CIAT and coffee-growing regions recently. The seminar is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Bluestem Room at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center, located at 4502 Avenue I. It is free and open to the public.
