MITCHELL — Jose Luis Garcia walked hand in hand with our heavenly father to heaven on Feb. 16, 2013.  His memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mitchell with Fr. Phil Flott as celebrant.  Rosary services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday with visitation until 4 p.m. at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff.  In lieu of any flowers, a memorial in Jose’s name has been established at Pinnacle Bank in Mitchell.  Online condolences may be left at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com.  Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.

Jose was born on Dec. 18, 1966 to Jose and Graciela Garcia in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a child Jose moved to Los Angeles, Calif. where he received his childhood education.  He moved to Anderson, Ind., where he proceeded to live and raise his family for 21 years. Jose moved to Mitchell, where he spent the remainder of the past eight years working as lead mechanic. Jose has been a dedicated employee at Kurt Manufacturing for the last eight years. Jose Garcia ensured that his quality of appearance was impeccable. He had a great sense of humor; he enjoyed cooking while spending time with family and friends; he enjoyed dancing with loved ones; he always ensured those around him enjoyed themselves and he was a shoe fanatic.

Search Obituaries

Obituary Search Tips

  • Enter a full name, a last name (confirm the spelling) and/or keywords in the search box.

If your search is unsuccessful, try removing the first name. The person's known name may not be the name on record.

Try adding quotation marks to a keyword phrase for an exact match, or simply search by date or date-range for broader results.
