Council learns about possible new library (copy)

The Gering Public Library

The summer reading program is for the entire family. There will be fun activities for all ages. The early childhood programs for our youngest patrons will be held every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. during the month of June for out of this world story times, playtime, and hands-on activities.

Here is a glimpse of just some of the other kid, teen, and family activities planned for June:

June 15-16, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Legacy of the Plains-Family Program

-Over the Moon Overnight Campout. Bring your camping gear, enjoy s’mores, a campfire sing-along, and star gazing activities with Agate Fossil Beds park rangers. Registration required.

June 17, 2 p.m. Midwest Theater-Family Program

-Movie at the Midwest: Wonder Park. Children are free. Adults $1.

June 18, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Gering Library Community Room-Teen Program (6th-10th grade)

-Cosmic Crafts. Make a marbled moon necklace, a planet pillow, and cosmic bath bombs.

June 20, 2 p.m.

Gering Library Community Room-Kids Program (3 yrs-5th grade)

June 22, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Gering City Pool-Family Program

June 25, 4 p.m. Gering Library Community Room-Kids Program (3 years-5th grade)

-Dino O’Dell presents Zar and the Broken Spaceship. Interactive show with music and storytelling.

June 27, 6-9 p.m. Gering Library Community Room-Teen Program (6th-12th grade)

-Cosmic Capers Teen Ending Party. Food, music, Mystery Mission Escape Room.

June 29, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Legion Park-

Family Program

-Out of This World Ending Party. Bounce house, golf on the moon, astronaut training course and more.
