American Legion Auxiliary Junior members honor Ashley Talkington with a Quilt of Valor

Hemingford Public School’s science teacher Ashley Talkington was presented with a Quilt of Valor during a surprise presentation by Natasha Schumacher and the American Legion Auxiliary Junior Members: Raegan Schumacher, Fletcher Moseman, Allisen Meek, Brenna Schumacher, Madisen Meek, Carlye Kresl, and Bethany Kresl. Pictured is Talkington as she hugs Carlye with Bethany to the right. Talkington was thanked for her 10 years of service in the United States Army.

The Quilt presentation was held during the Hemingford Public Schools Veterans Day Program on Monday morning.

The American Legion Riders held American flags and lined the back of the Hemingford High School Gym where the wall was filled with pictures and stories of local veterans. More photos in this section and online.
