Everyone was invited to the Hemingford Summer Block Party this past Monday, June 24.

Around 120 people gathered to eat hamburgers and hot dogs that were perfectly cooked by the Village employees. A variety of ice cream bars were also served up along with 300 cookies that were baked by the Hemingford Community Care Center.

Those in attendance raved about the hot dogs and a total of 84 of them were consumed.

A number of Hemingford Community Care Center residents and staff members were able to walk over and take part in the festivities.

After filling their bellies, children and even a few adults walked over for free swim with a canned food donation to the Hemingford Food Pantry.

The Summer Block Party event was to kick-off the 2019 Street Project. Full demolition will begin on Park Street today, June 27; weather permitting.
