Tammie Ostdiek, University of Nebraska Extension, has been asked to create a class featuring multi-cookers. She’ll present her class on June 30, 5:30 p.m., at the Gering City Council Chambers.
If you have a multi-cooker that has you intimidated, Ostdiek can help remove the mystique for you. She will explore basic techniques, serve up some delicious recipes and offer tips and pointers on how to create quick and safe meals for your family.
If you don’t have a multi-cooker already, this is your chance to see if you want one of these time-saving devices. A multi-cooker can be used as a slow cooker, a pressure cooker, a rice maker, to steam, sauteé and to keep food warm. With a multi-cooker, you can get a last-minute meal on the table quickly.
This program is free and open to the public, but we would appreciate it if you could sign up ahead of time by calling 436-7433.
