TORRINGTON - The Goshen County Historical Society is sponsoring this year’s 66th annual Wyoming State Historical trek on June 14-16. Trek director Vickie Zimmer will lead the group around the Hartville-Sunrise area.

The trek will include a stop at the Sunrise mine that produced iron ore for nearly 100 years. Archeologist George Zeimens will talk about the area’s prehistoric inhabitants and retired teacher Patsy Parkin will focus on the history of Hartville, the “most reviled town in the state.” Local historian Barbara Costopoulos will discuss the culture and people of the area.

For more information or to register, call 307-532-3495 before June 14.
