Michael Ted Pappas age 62, born November 17, 1955, deceased July 16, 2018 at his residence in Denver, Colorado.
Michael was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Betty Jane and Theodore George Pappas. He grew up in Gering, Nebraska and became a successful businessman owning Ash & Splash and later Cindy’s Cinnamon Rolls. He had a passion for cooking and baking and developed many of his own recipes. In his youth he was in the Boy Scouts achieving many medals. He was an archer and an excellent marksman. He loved baseball and excelled at it. He coached his nephews, John and Jason Ridings in his early years, and then coached his children, Kristopher and Nick. He married Lucina Plante on September 1, 1984 and they had 2 children, Kristopher Michael Pappas and Nickolaus Theodore Joseph Pappas.
He was a loving husband and father with a kind heart, but he was so much more to us than words can ever say. He was always there for us sacrificing himself to make things better for his family. He had a great sense of humor and wanted to be a standup comedian. He loved life and saw things in his own unique way. Later in life he had many health issues but always tried to remain strong to be there for his children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Pappas; his mother, Betty Jane; his brother, Larry; aunts, Leenie and Hoots; uncle Roger; and Grampa Andy. He is survived by his wife, Lucina; his children. Kristopher and Nick; his sister, Diane; nephews, John and Jason; nieces, Emily and Ellen; and aunts Janie, Dolly and Donna Lou.
Although his faith in God wavered from time to time the few weeks prior to his passing, he had several things happen which allowed him to see God was opening doors and truly working in his life. His faith became strong again.
Even though our hearts are broken with his passing and we will miss him terribly, we take comfort knowing he is without pain, is at peace and is in the loving arms of God.
