To the editor:

I’ve been following articles about the 12-year-old boy who brought the gun to the school playground in Scottsbluff with the intentions of murdering another youth.

My thoughts are I completely understand protecting minors and withholding identities of victims, but what about the publics right to know and protect their families from those committing the crime. I would like to know identities of these individuals.

Shouldn’t we have a right to know?
