Nebraska volleyball's Anezka Szabo transfers to Kansas

Nebraska outside hitter Anezka Szabo has committed to transfer to Kansas, according to a tweet posted by the club team she played for in high school.

Szabo was a redshirt sophomore during the 2019 season and appeared in 29 matches. She had five kills with a .167 hitting percentage.

She played in 23 matches during her first two years as a Husker but suffered a season-ending injury after nine matches in 2018. She'll have two seasons of eligibility at Kansas.

Szabo, whose father played for the Boston Celtics in 1996-97, came to Nebraska from Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she was the No. 34 overall recruit in the country, according to PrepVolleyball.com.
