Gering Police are investigating a case of a Wyoming man reported missing.

Baylee Englebert of Moorcroft, Wyoming, says her husband, Chance, has been missing since Saturday, about 7-7:30 p.m.

The couple had been visiting Englebert’s grandparents. The woman says that her husband had become upset and left the home, walking west in the 700 block of O Street. The woman told the Star-Herald that she went looking for her husband but was unable to locate him. The woman said when she last talked to her husband, he had told her he was walking south toward Kimball, but he had also contacted friends and said he was walking toward Torrington.

Englebert says that the last time anyone heard from Englebert was about 8:46 p.m. Saturday.

Gering Police Capt. Jason Rogers said that investigators are looking into the man's disappearance.

“The family is obviously concerned that there has been no contact in the last day and a half,” he said.

Englebert said it is out of character for her husband to be missing when he had been expecting to start a new job today and she believes he would not have left his newborn son.

Anyone with information in the case can contact the Gering Police Department, 308-436-5089. Englebert said people can also contact her, 308-631-4919.
